“This Place Matters” – Ontario Ice Skating Center

The Ontario Ice Skating Center on Holt Boulevard celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2017. Established by the Vanderberg family in 1957, this is the 2nd oldest ice skating facility currently operating in Southern California. Milo Vanderberg revolutionized the industry by inventing the ice-resurfacing machine, a skate sharpener and an electric broom. The Ontario Ice Skating Center is the longtime home of the Ontario Hot Blades, a recreational figure skating team, and Ontario youth hockey.
