Jerry Weems: Visual Histories, on display from Thursday, January 31, 2019 thru Sunday, March 17, 2019, is a reflection of Weems childhood memories. Growing up in the Deep South during the 1960s was a time of change for African Americans. The Civil Rights Movement was in full swing and the Jim Crow laws had a strangled hole on the progress of blacks.
