Día De Los Muertos: Sharing Traditions

October 1, 2015 - November 8, 2015

Artist reception: Saturday, October 3, 2015 – 1 PM to 3 PM

Explore Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a vibrant celebration of life and loved ones, through our annual exhibition showcasing contemporary work in painting, sculpture, mixed media, photography, and ofrendas (altars). Día de los Muertos is a long standing cultural celebration in Latin America with strong ties to indigenous Mexican culture.  Today, Día de los Muertos has been increasingly popular with Latinos and non-Latinos in the United States and the sharing of old and new traditions continues the joyous remembrance of deceased loved ones.   Winners from the annual Día de los Muertos – Mask Making Event will be featured at our annual Día de los Muertos exhibition.
