Code of Conduct

  • Guests shall be courteous to all other guests, participants, event officials, entertainers, city and private property. Guests shall not willfully and maliciously disturb other guests, participants, event officials, or entertainer’s enjoyment of the event by engaging in inappropriate conduct. In appropriate conduct includes but is not limited to:
    1. Verbal abuse, threats, or intimidations;
    2. Use of profane, obscene or vulgar language or gestures;
    3. Physical abuse, threats, or intimidation;
    4. Unwanted physical contact;
    5. Theft, vandalism, or destruction of property belonging to guests, participants, event officials, or entertainers including city and personal property;
    6. Smoking both tobacco products and electronic smoking devices;
    7. Use of fighting words or purposeful, malicious, or willful conduct that incites or provokes a violent reaction by others;
    8. Throwing projectiles of any kind;
    9. Possessing prohibited items; and
    10. Any activity or conduct deemed by the venue to be inappropriate to the peace and good order of events or which may adversely affect the safety or persons or property.
  • Illegal drug possession and use is prohibited.
  • No exposed underwear; baggy pants below waist.
  • No person shall engage in lewd or dissolute conduct pursuant to California Penal Code Section 647(a).
  • Guests shall comply with the direction and instructions of event officials, security personnel and law enforcement.
  • Operating unauthorized recreational and/or personal transportation devices (such as bicycles, skate boards, golf carts, go-peds, scooters or motorized carts), except by persons with a mobility disability are not permitted.
  • Discarding litter anywhere, except in designated trash receptacles, is prohibited.
  • No dogs are allowed in the event area.
  • Unauthorized use of utilities (including electrical outlets) is prohibited.
  • Children under the age of fourteen (14) must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Individual’s personal hygiene and clothing cleanliness must comply with commonly acceptable social standards as judged by a reasonable individual.
  • All persons must wear shoes and pants (skirt, shorts, etc.).
  • No outside alcohol or illegal substances may be brought to the event area.
  • Alcoholic beverages can be purchased exclusively within specifically designated areas.
  • Alcohol sales may terminate at any time at the sole discretion of event officials.
  • Guests who consume alcoholic beverages shall not violate California Penal Code Section 647(f) by becoming so intoxicated that he or she:
    1. Is unable to exercise care for his or her own safety or the safety of others; or
    2. Is interfering with, obstructing, or preventing others from using streets, sidewalks, or other public ways.
  • Intervention with an impaired or intoxicated guest will be handled in a prompt and safe manner.
  • For safety reasons, guests are prohibited from possessing the following items:
    1. Aerosol cans;
    2. Barbeque or other cooking equipment;
    3. Sound amplifying devices;
    4. Confetti or smoke producing products;
    5. Poles/sticks to display flags, banners, signs, ;
    6. Camping tents;
    7. Weapons of any kinds (i.e. firearms (with or without a permit), pepper spray, tear gas, handcuffs, stun guns, explosives, brass knuckles, sticks, clubs, batons, martial arts instruments, knives, etc.); and
    8. Any other item deemed inappropriate dangerous by the venue in its sole discretion.
  • The list of prohibited items is subject to change at any time by event officials.

Violation of Code of Conduct

  • Violation of any codes from this Code of Conduct may result in removal from the event area including but not limited to suspension from the Ontario Festival of Arts in future years. If a guest is in possession of a prohibited item, he or she will be asked to remove that item from the event immediately.  Guests are encouraged to report inappropriate behavior to event officials.  We welcome your help in our efforts to provide an enjoyable experience for all guests.
